Default Wrangler leaf springs on XJ?

I was talking with a buddy today that has an XJ as well. His is stock for now. He said that he heard that you can fabricate a way to install the front leaf springs out of a wrangler (not sure what year) under the front end of an XJ. He was told that this is was a way that you could get more inches of lift for less $$$. I looked on the internet and found a few things but nothing worth a flip. Anybody know if this is true or have any decent info on the fabrication like where you would weld the new bracket for the front of the leaf? Thanks

Search for "project fullwidth"

He did a front spring swap when he went with full widths. All of your info in the thread.

Not a bad way to go really. But wait til you want to run a bigger axle upfront then do the swap. The swap alonw will net you 5". And thats alot of fab work for a Dana 30. Grab a 44 with the leafs attached and swap it under there.
