Would this work for a simple 2" ish lift
This is my first post and I am a new XJ addict...
I ran across this company and was wondering if these 2 items would work for a simple 2" lift:
Front:
Jeep 2 Inch Lift Spacers
Back:
Rear Add A Leafs
I am not looking for a major lift, just a few inches and cheap.

you probobly will want to get new shocks(longer) of course, and yes possibly new u bolts if yours are to short for the new lift or you strip them taking the bolts off when putting the AAL in

It depends on what you plan to do with it, if it is mostly street driven with some mild trail use your stock lengh shocks are probably ok. If your shocks already have a lot of miles on them, now would be a good time to upgrade.
Im running stock lengh shocks on my Daily driver XJ with a 2" lift, and is just fine. However this vehicle sees no offroad use.

I may someday play around on some easy trails. I will mostly use it to get up into the mountains to go skiing.

if you dont have alot of money and need some shocks to run with a lift check out some for a 98 s10 rears that will work for the back of yours but you will need to use your bar pins cause the s10s are a lil diff. also if you are willing to loose your rear sway bar you can use the pieces that bolt it to the leaf pack as a bar pin eliminators for the front. with a lil mod you can bolt it in at the bottom and use the bolt with a sleve in place of the bar pin upfront

X2, and if you are not disconnecting your sway bar you "probably" won't get enough articulation to fully extend the shock. plus most Rancho shocks are listed good for 0-3" lifts for most applications.

I prefer the 2" lift shackles over a AAL. I will also say it is not recomended to re-use your U-bolts. They will stretch, rust, may even be cracked.
I buy all my U-bolts from ruffstuff
