When I bought my xj I meant to get the A/C recharged...2 years later it still isn't done. So, I have come to realize it is a Jeep and I don't need A/C anyway.
I got the idea of buying a belt for a similar model without A/C and taking off everything on my jeep that has to do with the A/C system to free up space, pounds, and in theory some power since the belt is smaller and not dragging a compressor that does nothing anyway.
The Jeep is a 1992 Limited that has been pretty much turned into a trail truck. I would not miss the a/c at all, obviously, since I havn't used it in 2 years. Has anyone done this, if so, was it worth it.
Others, do you thing it sounds like a good idea or no?

Turn it into an oba unit. low dollar way to always have an air compressor with you. just dont go super cheap with the ness. hardware. you will regret it at some point.
