Did he say why it wouldn't be worth it? With 103K miles, it's just breaking in... unless your frame is bent or the engine/tranny are beyond repair (and even then, not really an issue), you have a ton of life on it. I'm at 230K on my 1990 Laredo and it's still trucking along great.

iight guys i appreciate your input cause im sure you guys have alot more experience with jeeps then i do obviously lol but i have a pretty low budget because im going to college and wanted to know of the best lift and tire combo that is relatively cheap and that still gives an agressive look and that obviously hits the trails well haha

hello im new to the jeep world but i found a great lift tire and wheel combo is the rustys 4.5 inch with 4.5 leafs and black steel 15x8s and mickey thomson baja mtzs 33x12.5 its 1800 for the kit and it come with just about everything the only things i needed to buy were sway bar quick disconects which are pretty nifty but the tires alone go for 1000 easy the only thing i would change is to a 15x10 but thats just me and oh yea it comes with the fender flares also about 400 dollars worth (99 a piece) all for under 2200 shiped to your door you may want extended brake lines also but i have wheeled and nothing broke thanks hope you get a lift these things are fun

the only reason he might say to you its not worth lifting is because it doesn't have an actual frame per say, its a unibody. im in a club with guys on 40's, all out buggys, truggys, and kruggys but i hang with them most of the time. i can take majority of the lines they do and they respect me for that. will you be wheelin like i do? probably not but you can lift any cherokee 103,000 miles and up. hell i have one that has 200000 sittin in my driveway, and its a 99!

I was at the same point as you when I wanted to lift mine. I thought 100k miles was about end of life. I started checking into it and I found out I made an even better buy than I had originally though.
The only thing is I will warn you that once you start you may not be able to stop building.

Haha thats nothing, I have got a 1991 2dr Sport with 310000km's on it, or about 190,000 miles. I plan to find a used engine with lower km's, change all the fluids, put in a rough country 4.5 (seeing as I have some SERIOUS spring sag), and some 32" bfg muds. As long as you have a little bit of time, and enjoy working on vehicles, it really doesen't matter what you have for mileage. Well okay, if its about to break in half the next time you hit a speed bump, maybe its too late.
