so i thought the batter was dead so i switched with another good one. but it still won't turn. when i turn the key to start it the stereo turns off but not the dome lights. i do hear a one click when i try to turn it on. any ideas? i know its not NSS i have push start button and that doesn't won't work

i click sounds like a starter issue to me but the way u are wording this is pretty unclear.

came across a gc today that had a similar problem except the dome lights went off as well. do ur dome lights dim at all? i wiggled the wires and it started up. so i believe it was a bad connection. sounds like u have the same issue. i would look at the connections at the starter and battery. also check ur ground

ok i will check my connections. incase it doesn't work what would be a tow location i don't have front tow hooks

how far r u planning on towing it? i have hooked a tow strap around the axle and flat towed it a little ways but i really wouldnt recomend doing that

its only about 2-3 miles from my house and speed limit is 25 the whole way. so i went back and tried messing with the connections but nothing. i do hear the fuel pump priming so thats off my list. how hard is it to take the replace the starter. i'm thinking of getting one from JY for now i'm on a college budget. i have the 4.0 HO 1992 auto so are most of the starter interchangeable with each other
