Default won't shift into gears after retorqueing fly wheel bolts

So I just installed a new transmission in my 01 sport and was having vibrations so I loosened and the retorqued the bolts from the flywheel to the torque converter to fix the problem. Now I start it up and go to shift into drive or reverse and get nothing. If I try to put it in park it grinds a bit so I shut it down in nuetral. Any thoughts? Maybe retorque and try again? Thanks

Sounds like linkage issue? Hard to mess up flywheel bolts, either they are in or not.

Can't imagine why it would be linkage since I was driving it last night and just took the inspection cover off to retorque the bolts and didn't mess with the linkage. Could I have pulled the torque converter to far forward?

So it ended up being the transfer case linkage had come off so got the reconnected but it won't go into 4 low and gives me issues running through the other gears (2 hi, 4 hi, n, 4 low). It had come loose when I moved the gear selector around to get my center console back in. Any thoughts on this issue?

Boostwerks TC shift linkage! Way better setup than the factory "tinker toy" **** they had in there.

Damn I'm good.... I've found that if you don't have a t case drop the stock linkage is fine. Just tighten up and verify no slop.

Check to see that it's connected right. It can go on two ways. Down or up. Up is correct if I remember correctly.
