did a auto to manual swap a while back and have had cel saying heater circuit malfunction...
i put a 98 4.0/ax15/231 in a california emissions 2000 used the 98 main engine harness at first i had some frayed wiring for upstream o2 so fixed that...that didnt resolve cels which i believe po135 and po141...so got new upstream and downstream sensors...still no fix... now where 98 xjs have a o2 fuse i have none...the cali emissions 2000 have a upstream o2 and downstream o2 relay... traced wiring for downstream relay from 2000 pdc (violet with orange tracer) to pin 13 the manual trans 98 harness doesnt have anything on pin 13...so im thinking the o2s and the backup lights are not working because the difference in the pins and wiring...now how can i wire the 98 harness to match up with the 2000 wiring...anybody have any diagrams of which wire will need to go to where? |
the male end is the 98 manual missing pins 5 and 13
the female end 2000 auto missing 4 and 11 |

ok about the o2 sensor thing...... no idea, the frayed wires probably messed something up. i would put a fuse where there isnt one to see if that completes the circuit.
as for the reverse lights, you need to run a wire from the st-run 12v power circuit to the one side of the backup lamp switch and the other side has to get run from the switch to the backup lamp circuit (on mine it is a green wire with pink tracer on the tcm harness) ill have to dig up some wiring diagrams for ya later tonight that helped me figure it out! |
that california emissions can really really bugger something up!

the fuse missing doesnt even have wiring going into it...i dont really care about reverse lights...just want the o2s to be wired right...
