I am looking for complete wiring diagrams for a 1997 and 1998 XJ sport. I have looked on line and bought manuals. The wiring diagrams to be honest have not been helping as some of my wiring does not match the diagrams I have.

 

Guessing you own a '97 like it says in your profile.
Have you been looking at a real '97 FSM?
Also I have a little theory.
'97 being a transition year I am under the impression that certain aspects might be similar to '96.
No first hand knowledge if this is true. Like I said. Just a little theory.
But if you have been looking at a real '97 FSM it might explain your question.

I have been using a FSM 8W for my two 98's for some time now.
I'd say the diagrams are 95% accurate.
I've even noticed some differences in wire colors between the two vehicles.
