Default Winter Tire Pressure

I checked my pressure today and they were all around 31. The placard in my door says 33 cold and is listed for 215/75/15, I have 235/75/15 so my question is do I still use the same pressure as listed in the placard? I put them at 35 as that is what the tire place put them at when I had them rotated before winter. I assume that 2lb difference is not a big deal, just curiosity more than anything I guess.

I usually run around 30lbs in my 31's but if there is lots of snow on the ground I will drop them to 20. IMO the difference of 2 lbs should not matter that much...Tj

Air pressure in your tires will automatically change depending on the outside temperature.

For every 10 degrees Fahrenheit change in the outside temperature, the tires’ air pressure will change by about 1 pound per square inch (psi). This falls with colder temperatures and rises with higher temperatures.

If you have a daily driver with 235/15's, I'd keep them at 33 psi.
