Windshield Wipers will not work
So, I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. My front windshield wipers will not turn on. I have checked the motor and it does work. I have also checked that I am receiving a signal on the plug by the motor. Once I connect the two plugs nothing happens. I cannot find a reasonable solution to my problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

The wires are probably broken at the stalk end. The only way to find out is too take off the steering wheel and dig in the the column it's not a hard thing to do just can be challenging. Checking for continuity from each end you'll find out.

Ya I figured it had to be something like that. I am going to go to the junk yard and pull some out of a different jeep and hope for the best

Do you have the intermittent wiper feature?
If so, the delay module may be bad. You can bypass it easily. It's a black box velcroed up under the dash by the steering column. |
Windshield Wiper Relay
Replace your Windshield Wipers Relay in the fuse box by the battery. My Wipers would not stop and it was a bad Relay. If not check your manual for any fuses you may need to replace relating to your wipers.
