Ok, I just recently had two trees fall onto my 88 xj and dented the hood (not worried about that) and smashed in my windshield pretty good....

How hard is it to put a windshield in ??

 

A lot of window install places will come to you, warranty their work and, if your shops are anything like the ones around here, will get wicked competitive.. Literally was going back and forth calling two shops, store one said a price, so I called store two and bs'd a slightly lower number and they said an even lower number.. Idk, my experience/02
Not that my answer has helped your question, I guess.. But it's not that hard if you have the right tools and have some common sence.. You tube some vids of an install.

 

Cost me 200.00 for brand new windsheild and new gasket, done by a shop.Easiest job I ever did plus a warranty.lol And it is quite a job unless you do them all the time.
