Default Window switch wiring info needed.

The front pass. window switch used to only roll the window down but not not up, and the drivers switch would control every window except for the front pass. window. So I decided to install 2 relays in a reverse polarity setup on the wires as they came in from the front pass. door. Apparently, grounding one of the wires as I did with the relays made the passenger window switch work both ways. That's great, but the drivers switch still didn't work so I wanted to keep using my switch connected to the relays so I would not have to lean all the way over to control the window.

Then I realized that this switch would only roll the window down normally, but only put out 4 or 5 volts on the way up, so it just crept. This confuses me since the 12 volt supply wire is the same wire that is at the switch and both the up and down relays are connected to it at the same spot.

Then after testing everything and not really understanding how the switch works, I noticed the drivers switch now rolls the window up at normal speed but still not down.

So I am not completely SOL as it sits right now. I can roll the window up and down fine from the pass. door switch and I can roll it down from the switch I added and up from the drivers switch. Ideally, I would just figure out what is wrong in the first place which is likely just a bad wire somewhere, but I would like to know how the circuit works also in case I cannot find the broken wire.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Ok Sorry, I'm not sure why I thought my situation was so unique. I ended up finding the electrical diagram and realized it must be a broken wire (even though I thought I already knew that). turns out it was right in the drivers boot. About 6 wires had cracked insulation and the Brown/white was broken completely, but was still making occasional contact.

Thanks anyway
