Window binding
I have a left front power window that's binding near the top of the travel on my 98 XJ. The regulator motor is strong enough to overcome the bind most of the time, but don't want to over tax it. The window seems to rock forward when it happens and if I rock it back, it travels the rest of the way up okay. I've had the door panel off and checked as much as I can see (which isn't much) and don't see any obstructions. If I spray lubricant down the front channel, it works great for a couple days then starts over. Anyone ran into this before? I don't see any in-channel guides or anything that would keep it from rocking out of the rear channel . . . thanks in advance.

Are both bolts tight where the bottom of the glass attaches to the regulator? Maybe you can loosen both bolts, shift the glass away from the bind, and re-tighten.

Update: I loosened the bolts as advised, pulled the window back as far as the track would allow and ran the window up, but unfortunately by the time it gets to the trouble spot, the bolts are no longer accessible. So I lowered it, pulled the window back again and retightened the bolts, and so far so good. Thanks for the advice!
