Will these rims fit my 1998 Cherokee sport?
Looking for a set of stock Aluminum jeep rims..... to replace my rusting out stock steel rims.
pondering these... http://newhaven.craigslist.org/pts/5151185911.html Is the offset, backspace the same as my 98 cherokee sport? seems like a fair price... |
1. Those are some really rough nasty looking rims, I'll bet they will bead leak like crazy.
2. They won't fit anyway, those wheels are 5 x 5, you need 4.5 x 5. |
4.5 x 5
OK, thanks Turbo.... I'll keep looking.. not a big hurry but I'd like to get a set before winter. edit: Just spotted these.... off a 99 Sahara... http://newhaven.craigslist.org/pts/5182951591.html |

Those are 17" rims I think, they are on my stock 04 GC. You can buy a new set of steel rims in the correct size to upgrade tires a 15x8" with 3.75" of BS for under $200 shipped from Summit, Jegs and others. Then you know what you have and not rusty either that you can air down for off road use with up to a 12.5" wide tire. |
i agree with fred on this one. new vs used.
but those 99 sahara rims are from a tj. those will fit (5x4.5) and are a nice rim (canyon). the tire size is a little large if you're stock height, but will look great on a semi stock cherokee. |

I never had a problem with Cragars.. in the past. http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...75812/reviews/ Heres a 3.75 width ... http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...81237/reviews/ OOOooooh... I think I like these... http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...55812/reviews/ I like these also... but with the center caps at 37 bucks each, now your up to $100.00 per wheel.. : ( http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...1237/overview/ |

YJ, TJ, ZJ, XJ, KJ, and KK all have the same bolt pattern (5x4.5 or 5x114.3). I have a list compiled of all alloy 5x4.5 Jeep wheels with whatever extra info about them I've been able to confirm. I'll probably add the steelies to at at some point.
Jeep alloy 5x4.5 pattern wheels.
