Will I expect any troubles?
I have been given a remanufactured engine from a 95 grand cherokee. Does anybody know about this engine? I just pulled it and plan on putting it in my 01 cherokee. It has a distributor, should I run into any issues on the swap? Thanks for the help.

Hmm. But I have a remanufactured engine! I don't want to just willy hilly swap out something that has over 100000 mi on a brand new block haha, I don't think making a bracket for that would be that bad, if that is the only thing.is the hole for the distributor bored all the way into the inside of the block or is it just for mounting? I apologize for the ignorance but I'm fairly new to this

Your trying to swap the year where they changed everything, with a completely different setup. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure your manifolds will work with the new block. And also, check the head that is on the blown block. If it has "TUPY" cast in the rocker bulges between cyl 3&4, just put it on the new block. If not, carry on with the whole block swap, but be aware you may need the 95 manifolds and Tb, and possibly a few brackets. I swapped a 99 motor into my 90, which wasn't bad but it's also the millionth (or feels like it) time I've done swaps. Do some research and verify what components will work with what you have.
