Wierd sound

Weird sound
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 AT. Lately I've been noticing a "whirring" sound, when I am going down the road, at around 35mph and up, only when I am on the gas, as soon as I let off the throttle, the sound goes away, I'm not completely sure but it seems like it could be coming from the transmission. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Thanks.
