Wicked Wobble
I have a Motion Off Road 3" suspension lift, with coils up front and blocks in back. If I am going around 60-65 and I hit a bump the front end wobbles like crazy and wont stop until i apply the brakes and slow way down. When I installed the lift I followed the directions to the T. Had my older brother look at it and he said all looks good considering he installed his 6" pro comp lift for his 2008 dodge. I also put new shocks on they are Rough Country RS9000 designed to run on vehicles with 3-4" of lift. Any ideas as why it wobbles? Thanks for checking it out.

sounds like you have the infamous death wobble, probably brought on by bumpsteer.
make sure everything is tight and torqued down, then take it in for an alignment.
you could do the alignment yourself, but after a lift, i'd take it in for a total alignment to adjust the caster and toe-in.

I might suggest having your tires balanced too. Even though they might've seemed o.k. prior to the lift. Anything with steering, suspension, etc. that isn't quite right seems to be accentuated by the lifts. Ours was completely cured with a tire balancing.
It seems some people need T case drops, or adjustable track bars, or LCA's. We didn't need any of that stuff when we did ours, but not everyone is so lucky. I'd definitely start with the cheap stuff first like the alignment mentioned above and tire/wheel balancing. If nothing else you'll know it's good to go and that you have to move on to other things.
Why they all behave differently after a lift (sometimes even when the same kits are used) is beyond me. It sure seems to be the case though.
EDIT: Spoke way too soon. I was on my way out to play after posting this, hit a pot hole at about 35-40 mph and away we went.......... Hadn't done it in months. All the stars aligned and POW. It was a pretty bad one too.
Gonna take it in and let the pros do the alignment. We have a shop here in Phoenix that deals with lifted/lowered vehicles specifically. $50 well spent. He's done all the others. We don't have anything that's stock come to think of it.
