Default Why did jeep run the washer fluid tube with the wiring harness?!?!?!?!?

So i recently bought a jeep with an R-Title that had a dent on the drivers fender(where the washer fluid bottle is). Later i put in some washer fluid and found that i had a leak. So after trying to find the crack in the bottle or where the leak was for about 25 minutes, i found one of the little plastic 90* turns was cracked in the engine compartment, running down the the wiring harness and dripping out near the front of the headlight.

My question is why run this through the wiring harness? I feel like it breaking and leaking like mine did is something that could cause a short or something? I dunno, i fell like it is kind of a bad idea the way it is.. sorry for the rant

It's done for ease of installation and actually helps protect the tubing, normally.

each wire is insulated. since they stand up to oil and fuel well. I'm sure washer fluid wont hurt them.
