Why?

Why would an add a leaf ride rougher than a new full leaf pack.
I just installed my Rustys 2" add a leaf, and I was expecting a rough ride in the back because of the many threads on here telling me it would. I had a Rustys 3" full pack on my other jeep, and IMO it was an incredible amount rougher.
I'm not complaining because, uh, it's a jeep and I don't expect SUPERB ride quality.. Just saying.

Love the lift though. I'm riding on, like I said, a 2" Add a leaf in the rear, Rustys 2" coils in the front, and some Gabriel Ultra shocks. Here it is today, after the lift.

A 2" lift with an aal is nothing substantial. I'm sure people were talking about when you go like 4.5" and use an aal and extended shackles. Also, it's not necessarily the ride quality that suffers, its the fact that when you lift higher than like two or three inches the stock leaves have so much pressure on them so they end up just sagging.

Hmm.. Makes sense. Thanks.

are you running factory sized tires with the 2inch? and did you trim the fenders?
