my 2001 cherokee sport sometimes makes a whistling noise when i let off the accelerator, when i give it gas it goes away and this condition comes and goes, any guidance would be very appreciated, thank you in advance

Check for vacuum leaks around your throttle body. I recommend an unlit propane torch, use it as a wand around your TB. When your engine bogs or changes idle, that's where it's sucking in the propane.

Also look for crack in the rubber intake tube and leakes in the intake manifold.
