Default Whining like my new axles...

So the left axle went south in a bad way. Had my mechanic replace the axle and the bearings and seals on both sides. He reminded me of something I had forgotten.

The right side axle looks pretty sorry, even though it was not making any noise. I remember this from work done a couple of years ago.

So, out of adventurous precaution, I order up a new axle from Rock Auto.

I do the swap. And dang the thing whined like crazy!!! It was put into the new bearing my mechanic installed less than 1500 miles ago.

Figured something is not right with the bearing. So I pull that new bearing out and replace it with another Federal Mogul. (china made)

It runs a little quieter. Or at least I am imagining so for all my effort.

The whine in constant, not rotation cyclic or power induced. Pitch varies with speed. Was not there at all until I put in the new axle.

Have other had new axle whine issues?

It is a D35C. Not exactly rocket science to work on. No metal in the oil either.

Possibility that the new axle is bent. If I recall the D35, the bearing is pressed into the housing? Slip fit on the axle shaft right?

That is right.

I suspect "bent" from factory or some other defect. Looking for others with same experience.
