Where is the fuel pressure regulator located?

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located?

I'm having to turn the key to the run position for a few seconds before starting to get a smooth startup. If I put the key in and just turn to start it takes a while To crank. So I think my regulator is bad and I need info on how to replace.

96+ is on the pump itsself.......96- is on the fuel rail..............almost 100% positive that you have a Checkvalve issue.

It's a 2000 4.0. So is the checkvalve easy to replace?

Not unless you want to buy a new Fuel pump....

http://www.brandsplace.com/0384-srrckv5.html that is a INLINE check valve it has been installed in alot of jeeps with great results.....

so is this check valve something you can do out side the fuel assembly? i know the tank must drop to replace filter and etc. but the chack valve is it outboard the feul assembly?
