Default Where can I find offroad light laws?

I have two aux reverse lights, four overhead lights, 2 fog lights, and 2 aux high beams. I got pulled over for having my aux high beams on.. Then went to the station to show them my covers. They told me the officer was incorrect and I could go on my way. Well my bud got pulled over for the same thing the town south of mine and he had to remove them or cover them. I see all the time vehicles with roof mounted lights uncovered, but i was told they have to be covered.

I'm so confused and I have talked to three officers they all say they don't know so they just don't pull people over unless the lights are blinding. I just want to cover my *** and get some sort of hard copy of a legal documentation. I live in winnebago county Wisconsin. I have looked and I can't find anything. Thanks

Google search Wisconsin laws. But be sure to get the up to date laws as new changes are put into effect every July. You get different answers from different Officers because there are so many laws you cant memeorize them all. The officers that do know the answer know it because they have researched and dealt with it. I can tell you that in Indiana you can only have auxillary lights on during poor weather.

The law states fog lights and driving lights are legal but offroad lights are not. whats the difference? I have two fog lights and two driving lights mounted on my roof? by this law they are legal as long as only two are on.

This is correct. Just keep info about the lights that states they are 55w driving lights and you have yourself some CYA insurance.
