clear the a/c drain tube when it rains water can be forced into the blower box and if the tubes not clear it will drain out the closest spot onto the floor.
use an air gun and blow it out. other than that bad windsheild bead?

could it be antifreeze? if so maybe your heater core? if its water there is a seal between the firewall and the front inner fender on the passenger side that comes appart with age. thats what cause my floor pan to rust out.

dont worry itll smell worse than a wet dog if you leave it. first thing you should do is try to use a wet vac and suck up as much as possible. im also in the midst of hunting down the leak to a wet passengers floor board, but its hard when the floor is frozen because its 20 below outside!
in my research the possibilities could be either a leaking windshield, plugged drain tube, or a bad blower motor gasket.

Could it have been from before maybe you had the door open while it was raining and only noticed it when you lifted up the mat? My best guess is either your door is leaking a little or its from your windshield
