Post when i turn my a/c on raidiator fluid starts blowing out and smoking

when i keep a/c off and let it warm to normal operating temp which it stays at but when i turn my a/c on and the cooling fan turns on, it starts smoking and steaming and puring out when i turn it off and get out i can hear it hissing its heart away from about 100ft away im afraid to turn a/c on and havent since the problem arised. I cant stand the heat so does anyone know how i can get my a/c back with the radiator to work still ?

I see no one has helped yet, so the best help I can offer is a bump to get this higher on the list. I hope someone can assist you. I dont see how the A/C could make the pressure rise in your radiator unless the extra work to run the A/C is causing the engine to overheat making the radiator work harder. Does the A/C blow cold when you do turn it on? If not, could the pully for the compressor cause the belt to slip maybe not allowing your water pump to operate correctly? ... I dont even know if that is possible but just a thought.

you may have a leak in the heater core. it might be possible to cap the water line that flows into the heater core and bypass it completely.

Is the cooling system 19 years old on your XJ? Maybe take +/-$200 of the beer, cigarettes and lottery ticket money and start replacing cooling system components that are the oldest.

Pipes going the radiator would be transmission cooling lines, don't think that would be your problem.
