Wheel Identification Needed
Hey guys, I just scored a virtually new set of 32x11.5x15s on some sort of "stock" wheel. Bolt pattern is the same as my 95 Cherokee and I was going to use these wheels, however, the wheel is too thick at the hubs and the studs do not protrude far enough for me to get the lug nuts on. The end of the stud sits flush with the outside of the wheel. Any idea what these may belong to? Guy I bought them from said he had them on a Dodge Power Wagon Pickup. I do not see any stampings or makings on the inside or outside of the wheel to clarify. In the meantime, I'm hoping somewhere reasonable is open tomorrow to swap these to my steel wheels... Tires plus here wants $120. Thats NOT happening.

Outlaw, I think you're on the right track, but it looks like the Ansen style rims have a different center cap (w/o the flange that goes between the wheel and the rotor). This is close enough for me though, thanks!
Now I just have to figure out where to get these tires swapped at without going broke. Anyone want to buy these wheels? :-)

Just get some long nose or long shank lug nuts and rings from a speed shop or custom wheel dealer.
Make sure they are not longer than the wheel is thick.
They will then bolt right up to your Jeep.
These are aftermarket wheels that many manufactures made, including Fenton and American Racing.
They are known as slotted aluminum wheels. They were made from the late 60's likely until near the end of the 80's, possibly a little longer.

Wheel/Tire purchase turns into more than I was expecting
I didnt know these lug nuts existed. I have never seen one. Picked up a set and mounted the wheels last night...
Before.
After.
Went from 31x10.5x15 to 32x11.5x15. Supposedly this has a 3" Rustys lift. Possible sag in the rear, but I had MAJOR issues up front. This turned into a front fender flare removal and trim of about 1 1/2" all the way around... Rears still need some attention.
If you have made it this far thru the post, I have some questions. With the trim up front, I'm thinking I want to retain the inner fender lining which is out for now. We will be getting snow here in the next few months and I dont want all that crap up inside the fender. How have you guys been attaching the liner? I picked up all new push fasteners. It used to tie into the flare, now that the flare is gone, how do I keep the top inner edge attached and keep the crud out? Additionally, Theres a spot welded flange type spot inside the wheel wells. Potentially to become an issue under flex? Of course I havent done much since last night, and the rears still rub... Those will be tackled by the weekend hopefully.

personally, i like the steel wheels better. but that's just my opinion.
but be sure you re-torque the lug nuts after a few hundred miles.
as for the spot welded flange, just take a hammer and knock it inward to flatten it out.
as for the gap, you can use a pool noodle and shove it up in the fender/door gap to keep chit out. possibly use a marine adhesive to keep it in place.
i just left mine open, but i don't winter drive it much.
you can also trim your flare and bolt it to the fender to keep the look of stock.
