I'm talking about the kind you hold in your hand and hit with a hammer not an actual impact gun. However if the impact gun wont fit the hand impact driver probably won't fit either or have room to swing a hammer at it.

If you manipulate the steering knuckle you can actually fit an impact wrench with a deep socket attachment onto the 12 point bolts to remove them, thats what I did, except for the top one a wrench and break bar was required for that one. Just grab the knuckle and move it right or left as if you were steering, it should give you the space to remove the bolts.
