Default Whats the Best 2" lift

I looking to buy a 2" lift but I'm a little undecided on if i should get the lift, One's with spacers or with the coils for lift. i still want to retain the factory style handling.

thanks....

Depends on how cheap you want to be. You can put together a bastard pack for real cheap or you can just buy a kit. For example I have been running the RE 2.5in budget boost for about 15 months now, it has been really good to me. I also put in some ZJ V8 Coil springs to help level things out. I used a full length add a leaf and have not noticed any sag.

Old Man Emu might make the best 2" lift.

x2 But I prefer to piece my stuff together. I get exactly what I want at usually the same prices as the "packages"

I've seen this place too. Does anyone have any hands-on reviews of it though? Their website looks pretty hokey so it makes me nervous

Never dealt with them, I just hear they can be slow at shipping sometimes.

i would stay away from rocky road. their site is full of propaganda on why their stuff is the best and everyone else is wrong. I am not impressed with the quality of their track bar i got from them. v8 zj coils with a spacer + lift shackle would be very cheap. OME stuff is $$$. I ran the teraflex spacer/shackle lift for a month...before the addiction really kicked in and i bought the RE 3.5 lift.

For a kinda- DIY BB, I would say.. 98 ZJ Upcountry coils (net around 1.5-2") maybe coil spacers to even out/add some height. You can also use a 2nd coil isolator for some lift as well. For the back, bastard pack with either S-10 or dakota/full-size van leafs, and a shackle.

x2 this is the most cost effective method and will out preform a RE 2" spacer lift providing you buy new shocks. As a note if your going to do a 2" lift this way you might as well go ahead and build a 3" lift as you won't spend much more if any cash doing so.

Yes if you do ZJ coils, s-10 springs, and some cheap rusty's off road shocks it will ride and preform pretty darn well. When you go to the junk yard make sure you grab the ZJ sway-bar links as well cause there slightly longer than the XJ's. This will help with on road handling and with less than 10 bucks in hardware you can make some homemade disconnects.
