First off excuse the wiring. Now for the question...the name of this part is slipping my memory. There is a quiet buzzing notice coming from it when KOEO and KOER. And while the jeep is off the light on the dash showing that my trunk is open is illuminated although the trunk is not open. If I shake the jeep the light will turn off and on and the buzzing will stop and start. When the light in on, it buzzes under the hood. And when the light is off the buzzing stops. So could anybody point me in the direction of why this is happening and remind me what this is called. (Circled in picture).

 

The part you circled is the cruise control servo. T's into the vacuum line.

Have you popped the hood and tried to find out where the buzzing is coming from just by ear? Buzzing I think electrical...something have a contact where it shouldn't (or when it shouldn't). I would look up the wiring diagram for the hatch and whatever triggers that light on the dash. It could just be shorting out somewhere...a lot of the wiring in my hatch is broken loose and come apart. Wouldnt surprise me if yours was the same way.

Im not the smartest, what do KOEO and KOER mean?

 

Thanks for the reply. After looking I kind of figured it had something to do with the cruise contro . And that is where the buzzing is coming from. It clicks every time the indicator light for the hatch turns on and off and it buzzes while the light is on. And Key On Engine Off: KOEO and Key On Engine Running: KOER
