What years of 2.5L blocks interchange?

Alright, so I think I'll be replacing my engine soon and need to know what years will work. Engine will be going into my '93, so what around there will swap right in? There's an '89 at my usual JY, but I don't know if it'd work. Can I use my existing head since I'm rather sure nothing's wrong with it? I'll have it checked out, of course....Probably just going to pull the block and all internals, maybe head if I have to.

Not 100% sure, but I think the only issue is when you put a later block into an 85 or earlier as there is no place for the mechanical fuel pump.

That would make sense. Any idea of sensor locations, or differences? Or if they'd even be an issue?

Sensors are on manifolds. Use your old stuff.

Treat it as a longblock swap.
