Anyone give me a hand here, what the heck is this tube and should it be connected to something? It travels down into the bottom of the engine bay, the blue line I drew.

yep, vent tube. it's not in the factory location, or even factory hose, but it's much better up there than the stock setup. someone knew what they were doin.
That is about where it usually is. It is also missing the top hat part. Not that it matters. I moved all mine to where the front diff one was and used factory breathers. One on the right is my front diff.
