Before we put the hesco head on, we ran the ngk. After the head install, we tried the E3.48 plugs. With these, I kept getting an engine light. So back to the ngk with no problems since.

You are not the only one. Don't waste your money on E3. Some 4.0 engines have also experienced misfires with Bosch.

87-99: Champion coppers
00-01: NGK coppers

30k intervals.

'99 XJ, 4.0

Ran Champion RC12ECC plugs for years with no problems. I thought I would try the NGK ZFR5N 3459 plugs and see what, if any, changes occur. They've only been installed for about 150 miles now with no difference in performance. Pulled one the other day for a look-see and it looked good, so on with the show.

Champion coppers, but made sure the cap and rotor had the brass inside.

Jeeps love Champion/Autolite/NGK copper plugs. Copper being the key. I've tried the Bosh 2 and the Bosh 4 and the Jeep didn't like them.

Anyone tried the Champion single or double Platinum plugs?? The concept sounds good but does it really work?
