the stock oil pressure sending units on our cherokees aren't very accurate so i wouldn't stress about oil pressure too much, pretty much as long as you have some pressure (even its 15 psi) , mine used to sit around 30 or 40 and jump up some when i give it gas, now that i'm running royal purple for about a year and replaced my sending unit by the oil filter, its always above 60, even gets up to 75-80 when i'm on the throttle...i'm just saying i wouldn't worry about it to much, just keep your oil fresh and use the right weights and your oil pressure should be fine.

I have a '95 and after riding on the trail for a bit, it would be just above 0. I was running 10w-30 at the time. Now I run that in the winter and 20w-50 in the summer. Its quite normal for a lower reading when the oil is hot. Alot of people change their oil weight for that reason.

im not to worried. mine is at about 45 at idle and 55 at 60mph
