I just fixed my gangsta lean. I took the seat off the rail and nearly crapped my pants when I saw what was holding it on. 3 out of 4 bolt holes had cracks all around them including one fully broken bracket towards the back. And the nut ripped through the last bolt hole and the sheet metal was holding my seat on my gripping the threads of the bolt. That's all my seat was held on my. I have a few crappy pics on my phone if anyone wants to see them, but I won't be able to put them up till tomorrow. I welded all the cracks back together and to repair the torn and cracked bolt holes, I just welded washers on and it works great.

Winston, I just so happened to be drinking a soda when I read that comment. Needless to say that portion of the drink entered orbit.

My 90 has the leaning thing, I'm going to procure some new ones from the JY. But those dang seat pans just werent made to last forever.

I read your write up and it was excellent. However, in my case the rear seat is already different from the fronts anyway. It's black leather in the back. I guess the previous owner figured the passengers should have more comfort. So, the thinking is for $16 a piece I can get everything the same. That, and I'm thinking if I got a seat pan from the JY, they may end up charging me the same price for a whole seat, maybe not.

well i was just thinking would like explorer seats fit or like a certain year of grend cherokee seats?

'99 Durango SLT buckets are just way comfy... might just have to "weld" a set in?

my buddy bought his xj and the seat had broke with the po and he welded a l shape stand out of angle iron then bolt it to the back of the seat and to the floor.......we thought it was pretty funny.....but now he has my seats i gave him when mine broke down so im lookin for some too....i want a sporty style like the ricers have
