Does a 3" Lift "need" a Track Bar Mod?
I recently bought, recieved and installed a new 3" rough country lift with spring pack and new control arms.
I have seen conflicting opinions in several threads on whether or not I should put in a new adjustable track bar, buy a track bar lowering bracket, drill a hole in the lower bracket to accomodate the shift, or just plain ole' dont worry about it.
Any opinion is welcome.
Thanks
As a side note....I am still waiting on a few more parts to arrive for my sway bar and I have not had it aligned yet and it seems to track ok....drifts a little to the right.

I recommend an adjustable bar always the best way to go, drilling a new mount holes works and is OK. I have the relocated mount hole, wouldn't do it again. I would avoid the relocation bracket.
Alignment will fix the drifting. Do the alignment yourself, most shops wont do it complete, both toe and caster. http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm

At 3", the stock track bar will suffice and do it's job. It will just scoot your axle to the drivers side a bit without harm. If you got money to spend on an adjustable and plan to go higher, get one.

relocation bracket almost killed me on the interstate, hit a bump sheared one of the bolts that held it on, then the whole set up was loose and i went into an uncontrolable death wobble and started drifting over to the left almost running sombody over...
The bolt sheared about 4 times and then that ^ happened so i decided to get an adj one...
i just wouldnt mess around with it, its your saftey and the saftey of otheres, might as well do it right the first time.
(2.5/3 inch lift btw)

disconnect your track bar instal the lift and shake and rock the front end. let the axle center itself then mark where to redrill the hole for the track bar.
I am at 5" lift and no issues at all.
now mind you an Adjustable is the way to go, there is no doubt it. But it all takes money right....

I am sitting at 4.5 coming up from 3 and no problems except axle sits a little to the side. Getting adjustable in a couple of weeks just to make it look better. By the way, my boss has 5.5 and he only has the off center axle problem too.
