My '90 is running cold then running hot then in the middle... ?
Has a new Water Pump and thermostat.
I flushed the coolant system really well but definitly needs it again, im guessing theres still a bunch of crap floatin around in the system and is still breaking free. Doesnt overheat but what is the normal operating temperature? Yesterday on my hour drive home from work it stayed right at the second tick on the temp gauge which is between 100 & 210 (im guessing thats 200). This morning on my way to work it stayed just shy of dead center which is 210 the entire time. Sometimes it reads just over the first tick on the gauge. The electric fan isnt working so I need to address that but I dont think that would make much of a difference on highway driving temperature.

The sensor may not be reading correctly. check the connections, mine did the same thing and it ended up being one of the wires was barely hanging on. its located on the front top of the motor, right above the water pump and to the right of where the Thermostat goes.
