Question What Does This Wire Go To

Have been trying to figure out where this wire(yellow wire) goes. looked in Haynes manual and schematic says that oil pressure sender gets power from the one wire and then grounds( shows no lead so i was thinking that it grounded in its housing. This wire was not previously hooked up so im just trying to figure out if this wire is why my oil light is on. Thanks for any help!

Note from DJ
I have no idea what the white wire is for.
The diagram I’m posting only shows one gray wire.

Looks like a sensor from a later model that uses 2 wires.

Definitely ONE wire on a 94.

Yes, I'd say that it's very likely that this is why your oil light is on.

I'd definitely look to where that incorrect connector was spliced in - I'd bet that it's grounding out on something.

May be the correct connector but the incorrect sender.

Or wait. Never mind. I looked at it again. Lol. Probably the both incorrect. Possibly spliced to the original single wire.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's the wrong sender for a light. That's more likely for a gauge.
