Default What a difference with swaybar disconected!

I went wheeling the other day with my friend. We tried to go up a hill that was about 60% incline with 8 inches of snow and was about 20 feet high with my swaybar connected, well it didn't get too far. My friend sugested that i disco the swaybar then try. All i can say is wow what a difference! it went right up the hill with tires spinning like crazy but went up it non stop. I had no idea it was that drastic of a difference. BTW i have a RC 4.5 lift and 31" muds. For anyone who questions disconecting the swaybar for off road don't. I have not connected the swaybar and i drive it on the street for 2 days now. As long as you are not crazy around turns its o.k.

Get some disconnects, it wont be ok when you have to make a quick evasive manuever.

Nope, a trail only rig wouldnt need swaybars. It would just restrict articulation.

The "upcountry" suspension package from Jeep came from the factory without a rear swaybar. If you have a lift (or any upgraded or "HD" springs in the back) the rear sway bar is not required. I noticed no difference in handling when I removed mine (along with adding some RE 3.5" springs).
