what brand Fuel pump to go for??
As title states i Have a 98 jeep cherokee 4.0l. What brand of fuel pumps should i stay away from? Any suggestions as to which ones should look into? I have heard Airtex is bad. Only ones i can find locally are the airtex and a carter. Basically lookin for suggestions any input would be greatly appreciated.

Get a Mopar pump unless you want to change it again soon.

Bosch pumps are okay, too, and easier to find than MOPAR. Do not waste your money on an Airtex. From what I've read, there is a 90% chance it will leave you stranded within three months.
If I recall, the NAPA brand pumps are also reliable. |

Bosch is my favorite aftermarket fuel pump for the XJ. Mopar is great too, but expensive. After that, Carter is not a bad choice. I will not install nor will I recommend an Airtex fuel pump.

I believe Bosch was the suppilier of Jeep OEM Fuel Pump Module Assemblies. After I changd my fuel pump module assembly (Installed a Carter), I tore down my old pump module. I found that the electric fuel pump was made by Bosch. The Bosch name and part number was on it. Pump part number 0580453432.
Just info. |
Ive had good luck with bosch
NEVER get an airtex. I went through 3 of them within the same week before I was fed up. |
O wow thanks guys. Will most likely go for the bosch.

Search amazon.com for the right bosch fuel pump. I got mine for like half price just took a few weeks to arrive.
