What is the best way to handle the rusty roof?

If it is not to bad I would suggest sanding it and primer and paint with cans,if it is bad then remove as much as possible and apply a rust converter,permatex makes one,it actually converts rust to primer,I have used it a couple of times and it does work.

I agree and I also hate when people do that, but that post had so many other questions I thought it may be better to start a new one, sorry to cause trouble.

Herculined mine...from a distance it kind of looks like the vinyl roofs from back in the 70s (haven't decided if that's good or bad).
