What is this?
Is that from a 1988 XJ? Are there any connectors? What does the other side look like?
Knowing where it was might help too - although it looks aftermarket to me.
ok...little help.....more than one pic....where you located it on the vehicle, why did you remove it and is this a test of some kind?
Yes, 1988 Pioneer
under the bottom dash panel drivers side https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...2cbb547226.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...281424e2f8.jpg |
The little whit thing is a clocking device, there are two of them on the circuit board.
Trying to load one more photo.
Cruise control module? Although it doesn't look like mine.
Does your XJ have cruise control? |

yes I do. That brings up another question. Mine is 5 speed manual. This is the cruise control connector, I don't know where this plugs in. |
I now have the other picture., of this thing.
I don't think any OEM device would have two red indicator lights.
It may be an aftermarket alarm controller... |
Thank you for the input, I am going to post another photo, installed.
yea, I going to have to go with an old basic aftermarket car alarm... the hole to the right was more than likely to adjust the sensitivity of the system.
Of course, it could also be flux capacitor (reference to the movie Back to the Future) |
