What is..?
This in my Jeep? Has two hoses, one goes to other side of engine bay and one goes into cab via firewall

Ok... A month of looking at it and pouring through my Hanes manual, no luck in finding out what it was. Post it here and find THIS right afterward.

Those are the A/C lines to the evaporator.
Wait, youre pointing to the round canister, arent you? I thought you were pointing to those lines that were cut.

I was looking to hopefully remove the canister but I realize I can't. Now interestingly I looked at that diagram and discovered
Which appears to be the vacuum motor... Jeep is running fine but is this gonna be an issue later down the road? Looks like the vacuum motor is not connected, egr valve not connected, maybe more

It won't pass a smog inspection with all that stuff disconnected, if you have those. No EGR might cause detonation and will raise NOx emissions that the cat will have to try to combat. That air filter is probably the greatest concern for engine longevity. No idea about the cut wires. The vacuum motor is a valve on the front of the air cleaner that lets hot air into the air cleaner to lower emissions and it has no electrical connection. It's purely vacuum driven off the hose from the bi-metal temp sensor on the back of the air cleaner. All that info is right on the emissions label you took a picture of.

Fuuuuuun... So I guess my next move is gonna be to replace a ton of vacuum hoses. (Looking to be about 5 total for emissions stuff). Now, the PO converted to a cone air filter. More surface area = more air intake... Right? But with that conversion none of the vacuum hoses that were supposed to go to the air box are there. If I want to keep that cone filter, is there a way to mount those hoses and the sensor to the intake of the metal tube for the cone intake?

Definitely will make easier... I think I can Fab something up to the cone intake tube off that... Now if I re-route my intake I would have to change it again though, but I should be able to use a dremmel, a drill, and some epoxy to mount easy enough
