Went to wooleys... rock rail '?s

so i took the xj out for a afternoon of mud and trails, i was really impressed with how capable it was, but i learned the hard way about wrinkling the rocker panel just behind the passengers front tire, i slide off a rock and crushed it pretty good, oops:brickwall:, does any one have a set of rocker panel sliders or could recommend a brand:help:

i built mine they are pretty simple but have worked wonders and they are a lot cheaper to build then buy. but if you are unable to make them they are almost all around 200 to 300 bucks

well not that bad i would take a saw to it and then put in some 2x3 box tubing to replace it with then do a slider off that. the door still opens right

Drewpy 05-26-2009 04:46 PM

we had a blast, it was my gf's first time off roading ever, well other then a field or ditch, so it was a blast, that place was a great time

a1racer 05-26-2009 04:49 PM

yeah looks like a all around good place to wheel

Drewpy 05-26-2009 04:51 PM

the worst part is i never really ventured off of the "roads" and i managed to suffer some nasty trail rash, some of the stuff here takes v8's and axles.... one day the lil xj will be properly set up for it, just not this trip

REWSTER 05-26-2009 04:52 PM

i dont know if thies will work for you cause its bent up pretty good but maybe it will help

Drewpy 05-27-2009 11:52 AM

im going to take it to eor and see what they can do about it

01LimitedXJ 05-27-2009 11:58 AM

looks like fun...i go to woolys a lot. Yea, since they are already damaged i'd say boat sides or replace rockers with square tubing
