Weird voltage drop
So I have noticed that my voltage drops when accelerating or revving in gear. It dosn't happen when it's in park and i rev it. What is going on?
Also, my upper TPS bolt broke off! Will it hold ok with just the bottom one? Or should i just get a new TB. Found one at the JY yesterday.

Voltage with engine of key off is 12.65 at the battery. I didn't have to check my gauge because when I drove home last night, it was like the headlights shut of upon acceleration. Hmm, maybe there is some slack in the belt? So that it slips when the engine "tugs" on it?

Check your grounds and your battery cables to make sure there tight, as well as the alternator cables. Try wiggling your headlight wiring harness with the car on and see what happens. Sounds like the connection is being momentarily lessened. The fact that not everything is dimming (right?) Leads me to believe its mostly headlight related.

To emphasize what Jerry said, while you're under the hood, check and clean your battery connections.
Battery terminals only cost a couple of bucks, and they even look nice when they're new and installed correctly.

The fact that it happens when I go over speedbumps make me believe there is something loose somewhere. Maybe a loose ground(havent found one, although the battery clamps are maxed out and feel abit loose. They have been that way for allmost two years). The alt is allmost brand new so i doubt there is something wiggling around inside of it...

I live in the country of "leave it loose and easy to pull off" and brother, there are car electric repair shops everywhere.
There's also a ton of battery repair shops, where busted poles are repaired. You know, the poles on the batteries that are broke when they try to put the battery clamp on tighter by hammering it?
These folks could f**k up an anvil.
