Weird Sound?
OK.. So after driving for about 1.5 hours I went to pull into a parking lot and heard what kind of sounded like wheel rub. Now this was when I turned right and I figured it was some squeak from the spring since I am no where near rubbing. After a few hours of visiting the jeep was cool and no sounds at all. I drove back home and it was even worse and there is no way this can be right. I don't hear anything when going straight or turning left. I don't hear it when it has cooled down and I can't see anything wrong. I took it (light) wheeling two weeks ago and thought I heard something on the way home so took it in but the shop didn't find anything. I now think it is because they checked when it was cold.
I am hoping someone can help me figure out what it is. OR help me tell the shop what to look for.

That's what I was thinking but when I took it in (to an off-road shop) they didn't find anything. Would the joint getting hot make it open up and get worse and when it is cool hard to figure out if it is bad?

Yes it would get noisy as it got hotter. You can't really tell it's going bad just by looking at it. Do you know how old the u-joints are?

Maybe a year old and not driven hard at all. I was trying to see if there was play in it but being dressed nicer then normal I didn't really check too hard. I didn't even have anything to put on the ground so I didn't even get under the frontend. I will more then likely just put it back into the shop on Monday or Tuesday. If they are open that is.

WELL.....
I found the problem on the way home from work today. The inner plastic in the wheel well was being blown in just enough to hit the tire and was getting pulled in but some how was dropping back down as soon as I stopped. I have no idea how I could have missed the rub marks but they were no bad.
