Weird Intermittent stalling issue
I have a 91 XJ 4.0, and it has a weird stalling issue. it’ll start up cold and idle fine for 15 minutes if not more, i’ll drive it for some time and then if i hit the brake to stop at a light it’ll stall or occasionally when i come on the gas after coasting. I’ve cleaned the iac, replaced the tps, crank sensor. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Max,
While I'd like to say I have a fix, I don't. In fact, this is the most annoying issue I have with my 2001 XJ Cherokee Sport. I have changed the TPS, Camshaft sensor, and the Crankshaft sensor as well. I have 'reset' PCM according to some ancient battery cable, headlight, key ritual to no avail. Definitely need an answer. Need this issue resolved. Throwing no codes when it stalls either. |
As it turns out i think the problem ended up being related to my fuel filter being clogged, it was the one filter i didn’t replace on the jeep after i bought it. Hope this might help you out some.
