I'd start by cleaning the throttle body and taking off the IAC and giving it a good cleaning. Also, a vacuum leak would cause a sporadic idle. One way to see if you have a vacuum leak is to start the Jeep and let it idle. Then spray some carb clean around the intake manifold and throttle body. If it idles up while you're spraying the carb clean, then you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Be very careful, because that can cause a fire pretty quick if it backfires. Also, make sure the engine is cold so the exhaust manifold doesn't light up the carb clean.
