Just started a few days ago, and has done it maybe a total of 3 or 4 times now. Driving along, and I heard what sounded like my horn barely being triggered, and only a short burst, but was a few burts at a time. Obviouslt not full voltage as i tried to reproduce the lightness of it by tapping my horn button, but couldn't get it that short or soft.

At first I thought it was doing it at lower RPM's as I was de-accelerating, but It appeared to do it again the other day when i had cruise set at about 45 mph. When it happens, I don't notice a voltage drop of any sort, and my lights aren't dimming at all.

Anyone else experiance anything like this? The only modification I have done is the H4 wiring harness and aftermarket headlights, but did that about 5 or 6 weeks ago now, and this just started a few days ago. When I first hear it, reminded me of someone hitting the lock button on a keyfob to lock there car, and the horn quick honking.

98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0, 4 wheel drive.

I should maybe add one more problem that it has been having, not sure if they would be related. On occasion, the jeep will act as if it doesn't want to start, like my battery doesn't have enough juice to crank the starter. I will let it sit for minute when it does this, then try again, and usually starts right up. Only once did I have to let it sit a bit longer, then tried again. Battery is new, altenator is good, and giving good power, and it has happened at such weird intervals. Insight anyone?

 

check the connections at battery sounds like it looseing connection the getting it back causeing alarm to reset it self
