I have a 1991 jeep cherokee 4.0 with 4x4, I just changed the stereo head unit and caused some issues, I know I dont have the radio grounded and plan on doing it sometime soon, and the orange and black wire (power antenna?) and I want to say a blue and red wire (radio dimmer?) isnt connected, these two wires are supposed to go to the radio.
After I installed the head unit, my dash lights dont work when I turn on the headlights, the clock turns off, and the lights for the heat, fan, transmission shifter dont turn on. It blows the dash illumination fuse (5 amp). When the headlights arent on the clock is lit up. The head unit keeps resetting its self every time I turn the vehicle on.
Im thinking if I ground the radio this should solve my problem. I just want to make sure.
And does anyone know how much of a pain it is to change the U-joints in the front wheels, Im sure I could do it but its winter and Im tempted to send it to the shop to have them do it.
The reason I believe it to be the U-joints its because when I put it in 4wd, part time or full time, when ever I turn left or right theres a clunking sound and feeling coming from the front tires.

The front U-joints are fairly straight forward and easy. Just make sure you don't damage the seals on the axle ends during the work, unless you feel like changing them also. And make sure that you torque the wheel bearings good and proper before driving.
