Water leak from engine
When i crank up my jeep there is a small amount of water that leaks out of the motor. I cannot tell where it is leaking from, is this my radiator? Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Where is this water collecting? is it actually water, or coolant? Are you running just strait water through your system? Give us some more info to work with please.
|
More info needed. Get under there with a light and trace it.
|
Its not coolant, and from what i can see is its coming from somewhere around the radiator. Its dark right now but tomorrow im gonna get up under it and try and see exactly where its coming from. It may just be my ac but im not sure.

Flashlights work wonders :) it isnt normal for your ac to leak water around the rad area. There is no source for actual water in that location that i can think of, unless you are running water in your cooling system.

So what was it?

I think the flashlight survived the temps, but he froze under his xj checking for us :stuart:

Trying to find water dripping at 14* might be "problematic". Maybe it was brake fluid and that is why he hasn't posted back?

Thanks for the imput guys sry i havent posted back ive been pretty busy with work, the next morning i went out and it wasnt water but a couple drops of fluid coolant and i come to findout that my top radiator hose had a small hole in it and was barely leaking and it was dry rotted so i just drained all my fluid out and put the new hose on and its good to go
